This finish was made from 150 year old wood, aluminum and epoxy.
The wood was flamed, limed and waxed. Half of the aluminum was hand-brushed and then woven together diagonally.
After gluing the parts together, epoxy was mixed with metal pigments and poured to make it look as if the metal was running out of the wood.
